Gaby Studer - Paper Artist

Gaby Studer lives and works in the Eastern Algarve and in Switzerland. She has always been creative and artistically active, and after spending several years in the Bernese Oberland, her attention was drawn to paper cutting. Fascinated by the simplicity of the material and the endless possibilities, she quickly found her passion and absolute vocation. The reduction to black and white is an everlasting challenge, but she still manages to reproduce landscapes, moods and structures in a detailed and delicate way. Meanwhile, somewhat turned away from traditional paper cutting, Gaby Studer still finds her inspiration in the beauty and perfection of nature. It is the artist's wish to take the viewer with her into the silence, and to open his eyes to our wonderful world. The paper artist, who has now won several awards (Salon des Beaux Arts, Triennale du Papier Charmey), continues to appreciate the opportunity to present her works to a wide audience at various exhibitions throughout Europe.

Gaby Studer vive e trabalha no Sotavento Algarvio e na Suíça. Sempre foi criativa e artisticamente ativa e, após passar vários anos em Bernese Oberland, sua atenção foi atraída para o recorte em papel. Fascinada pela simplicidade do material e pelas infinitas possibilidades, ela rapidamente encontrou sua paixão e vocação absoluta. A redução para preto e branco é um desafio constante, mas ela ainda consegue reproduzir paisagens, ambientes e estruturas de forma detalhada e delicada. Enquanto isso, um pouco afastada do recorte em papel tradicional, Gaby Studer ainda encontra sua inspiração na beleza e perfeição da natureza. O desejo da artista é levar o espectador consigo para o silêncio e abrir seus olhos para o nosso mundo maravilhoso.
