Frans Bresser

I was born in 1950 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

I studied pedagogy and after my studies I worked in primary school in different cities in The Netherlands. I started painting during my student days and continued with it when I worked as a teacher. In the Netherlands I took painting classes with several artists and had several exhibitions too.

I use acrylic paint, but I olso use other materials to give special effect to works, such as paper-mache, metallic paint, reflex paint, paint with pearlescent effect or glitter. In many of my works I combine things that wouldn't normally come together, trying to alter or to modify reality.

My motto is: “Everything in life can be a painting”.

Nasci em 1950 em Amesterdão na Holanda.
Formei-me em pedagogia e depois dos meus estudos lecionei em escolas do ensino básico em vários cidades da Holanda. Já começei pintar durante os meus estudos e tive aulas com vários artistas.
Utilizo tinta acrílica, às vezes uso outras materiais para dar efeitos especiais às obras, como por exemplo papel machê, tinta metalizada, tinta reflex, tinta com efeito madrepérola ou glitter. Em muitas dos meus obras combino coisas que normalmente não se juntariam tentando alterar ou modificar a realidade.
O meu lema é: “Tudo na vida pode ser uma pintura”.
