Gloria Dias Bastos

Gloria Bastos was born in Moçambique and grew up in its hot climate, surrounded by friendly people, bright colours, distinctive aromas and rich, tropical flavours. This exotic mix has influenced her art and preference for vivid colours, to this day.

She currently lives in Lisbon, devoting all her time to painting, and creates contemporary, semi-abstract artworks in both acrylic and oils. She’s inspired by the energy and joy of nature - trees, landscapes and dramatic skies inform her use of color, texture and movement, working together to complement interiors while engaging viewers with a sense of upliftment and joy.

Gloria balances spontaneity with intentionality, creating artworks that bring vitality and emotion to the spaces they inhabit and the clients who engage with them.

Gloria Bastos nasceu em Moçambique e cresceu no seu clima quente, rodeada de pessoas amigáveis, cores vibrantes, aromas distintos e sabores tropicais intensos. Esta mistura exótica influenciou a sua arte e a sua preferência por cores vivas, que se mantém até hoje.

Atualmente, vive em Lisboa, dedicando-se integralmente à pintura e criando obras de arte contemporâneas e semiabstratas em acrílico e óleo. Inspira-se na energia e na alegria da natureza – árvores, paisagens e céus dramáticos influenciam a sua utilização da cor, da textura e do movimento, que se combinam para complementar interiores, ao mesmo tempo que envolvem os apreciadores com uma sensação de bem-estar e alegria.
