Tina McEvoy
My aim is to create beautiful, coloured acrylic and mixed media paintings that evoke positive feelings in the viewer.
I combine my love for traditional Iberian patterns with abstract elements in my “Hints of Iberia” collection.
Living in the Eastern Algarve near Olhão, I use natural materials that I find in the countryside to incorporate in my delicate mixed media collection “From the Garden”.

…real hydrangea skeleton leaves and poppy seed capsule tops embedded like little golden crowns, because why not add a touch of royalty to the randomness? The hydrangea leaves were a challenge. They are delicate to look at, but even more delicate to work with. I placed them on the canvas with great care, then painted them blue, tracing their fragile veins with gold, as if highlighting the quiet strength hidden in their fragility…
