KATE BYRNE

Kate, originally from Ireland, now lives and works from her studio at home in the Alentejo, Portugal.

Her inspiration is drawn from her interest in spirituality, intuition and mysticism and her pieces result in a mystical, impressionistic style of art. Kate works in a fluid, quick and loose fashion using a combination of mediums, primarily watercolour, and she likes to explore vibrant, semi-abstract shapes and unusual textures.

Kate’s artistic journey has also been influenced by her love of dogs and she paint pet portraits by commission.

Kate, natural da Irlanda, vive e trabalha agora no seu estúdio em casa, no Alentejo, Portugal.

A sua inspiração vem do seu interesse pela espiritualidade, intuição e misticismo, e as suas peças resultam num estilo de arte místico e impressionista. Kate trabalha de forma fluída, rápida e solta, utilizando uma combinação de meios, principalmente aguarela, e gosta de explorar formas vibrantes e semi-abstratas, bem como texturas invulgares.

O percurso artístico de Kate também foi influenciado pelo seu amor por cães e pinta retratos de animais de estimação por encomenda.
