Jean-Pierre Stauffer
My name is Jean-Pierre Stauffer, born in 1953. My father was French, my mother Swiss. I grew up in Cologne, Germany. I studied history and archaeology. 35 years ago, I discovered Portugal and fell in love with it. My daughter is married here. I have two grandchildren. I have been a photographic artist all my life. My work deals with historical themes, but also with nature (I also run a nature conservation project.) and, more recently, with people. My style is difficult to categorise, as I pursue different lines. Street photography in the broadest sense is my current style.

Meu nome é Jean-Pierre Stauffer, nasci em 1953. Meu pai era francês e minha mãe suíça. Cresci em Colônia, na Alemanha. Estudei história e arqueologia. Há 35 anos, descobri Portugal e me apaixonei pelo país. Minha filha se casou aqui. Tenho dois netos. Sou fotógrafo desde sempre. Meu trabalho aborda temas históricos, mas também a natureza (inclusive coordeno um projeto de conservação ambiental) e, mais recentemente, pessoas. Meu estilo é difícil de categorizar, pois exploro diferentes vertentes. A fotografia de rua, em seu sentido mais amplo, é o meu estilo atual.
